Known Issues Oct 13 2020

We’ve compiled a list of known issues here. We are still looking for other known issues that the community may find. If you find another issue such as a bug, please report it here. Abilities and Perks

  • The Dragons Breath perk unintentionally can sometimes deal damage to players if they shoot on the ground under their feet and players catch fire.
  • The healing station doesn’t heal other party members apart from the one calling it down.

Audio

  • Sometimes duplicated or incorrect voice intents can play.
  • Front-end map hover sounds can be triggered when the map is not visible. If the player clicks Mission Select and moves the mouse cursor over some regions, then a sound effect is played. The same sound effect can unintentionally be triggered after the player exits back to Mission Select and moves the mouse cursor over the same area of the screen.
  • Rejoining an ongoing mission will trigger the prior mission voiceover to play everytime a player is reconnecting to the session.
  • Sometimes weapon sounds of the SMG and grenade launcher disappear suddenly at the end of a mission.
  • Jürgen is completely silent when using the Thanks and Sorry callout responses.
  • All abilities that have voiceover attached to them can be heard globally, which means that players will be able to hear other players’ character voiceovers as theirs.
  • In the mission Research and Rescue two voiceover messages are played after saving the research crew.
  • Bullet audio bug after crit hit with assault rifle.
  • Dialog can persist in rare cases.
  • Audio dropout of footsteps in Research and Rescue mission
  • Bone plating impact is way too loud.
  • Faulty dialogue was triggered when extracting.
  • Invisible static barrier bug with “ghost” sound.
  • Several audio bugs in front-end UI.
  • Several audio bugs in deployment and insertion UI.
  • Acid Raptors corrosive status effects VFX and SFX are represented longer than they are afflicting the player(s).

Controls & Settings

  • Key mapping issue: the game only displays the input of English keyboards correctly. If the player uses f.ex. a German keyboard, then the representation on and the buttons Z and Y are reversed, the player is not able to use the callouts system by pressing and holding the Y-button.
  • The game will get suspended when alt-tabbed in full screen mode.
  • Pillarboxing is broken in the aspect ratio 21:9. The UI is getting cut off and it has effects on the gameplay. Please run the game only in the standard 16:9 aspect ratio.
  • The mouse sensitivity gets very sensitive when the player turns VSYNC off. It reacts much more to movements in comparison to having VSYNC on.
  • Sometimes the player(s) are unable to close the game via gamepad/ KBM in certain conditions.
  • Climb animation doesn’t line up properly with what the player is climbing.

Enemies

  • The reflections of enemies on water are not aligned properly to the body and show an (extra) white outline around the character.
  • After shooting off the head of enemies of the raptor class, the enemies kept going and did not die if the replication between you and another player gets out of sync.
  • Sometimes enemies have a chance of dying when traversing downwards (risk of dying upon landing from higher levels and running off ledges).
  • Sometimes enemies are spawned underground and are stuck on the terrain at different areas of the map.
  • Raptors in T-pose after rejoining or respawning.

Gameworld

  • The reflections of enemies on water are not aligned properly to the body and show an (extra) white outline around the character.
  • There is sometimes static fog inside the dropship.
  • Some rocks and stone formations near research camps are missing collision.
  • Road texture is misaligned at the main airfield hangars and appear faulty. Parts of the road seem to be offset due to the terrain level difference.
  • Player characters lack collision when they fall from high places and hit the ground.
  • Snowing inside of the hangar on the second floor.
  • Character can get on top of dropship and appear floating in Nova Ridge
  • Looping takeoff sequence for dropships at Objective B in Homebound .

Graphics

  • Low resolution blood splatters and smoke decals can be encountered sometimes on high-end configurations. Also, explosion decals seem to have low-resolution textures sometimes.
  • After activating TAA and turning off Anti-Aliasing, sand/snow flickering issues can be observed on the top of structures, like the roofs of hangars.
  • An weird visual effect can be observed when moving in and out of the small caves under the hangers.
  • The lighting in the dropship is sometimes not correctly set upon extraction. The lighting seems (locally) off during the extraction sequence and the dropship interior appears to be very dark.
  • The fog sometimes seems to be too heavy and can seep into the dropship and obscure the view in all drops. If this occurs, the player cannot see the world when dropping due to the fog.
  • Random cylinder shapes can be seen just Southeast of the Nova Ridge insertion point, close to the south hangars. Getting close to these shapes will make them disappear. It is just a graphic issue.
  • The lights on the carts appear to be distorted in the mission Charged Extraction .
  • Acid Raptors corrosive status effects VFX and SFX are represented longer than they are afflicting the player(s).

Menu, HUD, etc.

  • The heading text only appears in English for the “new rewards” UI, which is used for twitch drops and for referral rewards. For other languages the rewards UI remains empty. Note you should not encounter this type of reward during the preview.
  • It is possible to select the mission and contract descriptions in the front-end with the mouse, which outlines the element with a yellow outline.
  • If you start the game with an expired contract, and go straight into a mission (without first visiting the contracts tab), then the progress label will be shown erroneously on an expired or completed contract.
  • The player characters are sometimes missing weapons in the result screen after closing and rejoining a mission rejoining.
  • Several of the outfits display Default as a name instead of the correct one in the Heroes tab in the Armory section.
  • The loadout HUD will overlap other HUD elements in the front-end in certain conditions. If a multiplayer session has ended and the host returns to the loadout screen before a client is done with the pop-up screens for the mission scores, the client will be dragged on the loadout screen and then the loadout HUD will overlap the rest of the HUD in-game, in the pause menu and even during transitions.
  • In the lobby, a wrong message is displayed to players when they leave a party. The prompt on screen will wrongly state that other players left the party.
  • After interacting with a supply stash, the player will receive ammo for equipped weapons and not equipped weapons. This is only a UI issue.
  • No respawn points available in the respawn map.
  • Possible to scroll down and select the nameplates with the gamepad.
  • Can’t start Contact mission after completing all other missions.
  • The player(s) will get a “failed mission” pop-up in certain conditions.
  • Upgrade token buy indicator is in the wrong place after unlocking all slots on another weapon.
  • Rosy’s minigun clips the player on the right in the loadout when switching positions.
  • Navbar present on screen after the host rejoins the party.

Missions

  • The Homebound objective “Repair the antenna” can be completed without completing the necessary requirements. If one of the players proceeds with the mission’s objectives while the other two are idling, starts the mission objective “Repair the antenna”, leaves the party and rejoins soon after, then the “Repair the antenna” objective can be completed even if the requirements are not met.
  • Infrequently the game crashes when the player exits to the main menu after inserting in a mission.
  • There is an issue with extracting from the Altum Valley extraction point when the threat level is 2. If the Altum Valley region is set to threat level 2, please avoid this extraction point.
  • The player can get to the top of the fortress roof in Lata Plains after jumping on a supply/ammo crate close to the fence. Please do not climb the fence and access the roof, the player will clip through the terrain in some areas due to missing collision.
  • Repeatedly entering and leaving an objective area will cause tooltips to reappear in the middle of the screen.
  • Starting a new mission after failing one previously will result in the “player has respawned” text being shown in the dropship once the new mission has been started.
  • The pipes and bolts inside the server rooms and several locations inside the Blacksite facility look grey boxish and are missing textures.
  • Collision is missing for some engine parts of the broken dropship in Magna Petram .
  • In the mission Research and Rescue players are able to use Mine Seeding ability in the large cave with the scanners.
  • The players are able to pick up all the equipment pick ups in camps despite already being fully stocked in their inventory.
  • Crash in the second mission (Homebound) after splitting up.
  • Players are able to carry on inventory items through sessions.

Multiplayer

  • Please do not use our matchmaking option, Find Party , for extended mission captures since it could cause issues later on at the end of a very long multiplayer session.
  • If the host is still in the title screen you will fail to join their lobby from an invite.
  • Clients selecting “rejoin last session” after they press back and leave the insertion map can trigger a black screen.
  • The title might end up with a crash for the host after the host leaves the party and tries to rejoin the last session from the lobby.
  • Third player cannot join the game.
  • Crash at extraction after multiple hot-joining multiplayer sessions.
  • Other players’ weapons will disappear sometimes after exiting to the menu menu and rejoining the game session

Network Connectivity

  • Poor internet connection with the host of clients can result in unintended and strange bugs in game and when returning to the front end. The game will signal if you or one of your teammates is suffering from low bandwidth.

Weapons

  • Glass damage decals only spawn when using the shotgun or pistol. If the player uses any other weapon, like the assault rifle, SMG, scout rifle, minigun, etc., it will not spawn any damage decals.
  • Grenade launcher grenades do not explode sometimes after shooting and just lay on the ground.
